JMC  has been conducting 'Framework' trainings that focus on Finance, Rental Operations, Administrative Procedures, and Maintenance. Marketing has also reintroduced JMC History trainings and created a brand new leasing training course.  Rental Operations and Administrative has proven to be very helpful for learning policies and procedures for the application process with feedback as a "Fun class, great pace, [and] easy to understand!" Finance training sessions have also been impactful for many employees and the sessions give everyone the opportunity to share experiences and provide helpful tips.  There are also several routine trainings conducted by IT, HR, and compliance to onboard new employees. Phase II of Union 346 is set to deliver 59 more apartments in Somerville this September! Phase II is located on Hawkins Street which is adjacent to Phase I on Somerville Avenue. 11 members of JMC attended National Apartments Association Apartmentalize conference in Philadelphia this year! It was a busy week filled with a variety of educational sessions, exhibitors, and networking opportunities specific to the multifamily industry.  The 2024 Crew Included Members from  Faxon Commons , DUO , The Atherton , One Wall Street , Parkside Commons , The Mastlight , and the Braintree Office Apartments.com Hosted an Amazing Concert with Carrie Underwood! JMC held the annual summer company outing this week at Kimball Farm in Westford, MA! About 275 of our employees were able to enjoy a beautiful sunny day filled with activities, delicious food, and prizes.  The Mastlight Crew Made Their Very Own Branded Shirts! Several of our employees started the morning with a round of golf that also included the Longest Drive Contest.  Winner of The Longest Drive: Jayson Corcoran Connections hosted a North Shore and South Shore Cornhole Tournament over the winter and the finalists played to win the championship at the outing!  Winners of Cornhole: Joe & Sam Six teams later participated in the popular "Ninja Challenge", aiming to finish the course and beat the buzzer in record time.  Ninja Challenge Winners: Chris, Carlos, Jack, & Jessie Kimball Farm served a great cookout lunch followed by many scoops of the famous homemade ice cream.   JMC had over 25 employees attend the 2024 MAA Expo at the Hynes Convention Center. We had staff ranging from maintenance to leasing consultants, property managers, regional managers, and directors from the corporate office.  JMC Employees from Shrewsbury Commons , Weymouth Commons , and The Ledges The morning kicked off with three breakout sessions covering topics in DEI, mindfulness, and maintenance. Everyone then gathered together to listen to the keynote speaker after the morning sessions. The 2024 keynote speaker was Alex Toussaint. Although he is most well known as a Senior Instructor at Peloton, he is also a Puma Athlete, the Founder of the Do Better Foundation, and a best-selling author. Toussaint has an incredible life story that he shared with the audience and he provided meaningful advice, inspiration, and motivation to all attendees. It is finally starting to look and feel like spring around our JMC properties! All of our properties have received their plant deliveries and the maintenance and grounds crews have been working hard to install the plants just in time for the sunshine.  Spring Meeting for Office & Maintenance Managers at Florian Hall The Spring Managers Meeting took place at Florian Hall this week to discuss updates in maintenance, compliance, human resources, and marketing departments in addition to the DEI committee and announcements from the President and Vice Presidents of JMC .
