43 members from JMC attended the annual MAA Expo event at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston this week. This is MAA's largest event of the year and is open to all  job levels making the day impactful for everyone who attends.  The morning began with networking which led to the kickoff keynote speaker, Bozoma Saint John, who was the former CMO at Netflix and Endeavor, CBO at Uber, and Marketing Executive at Apple Music and PepsiCo and was named Forbes' "#1 Most Influential CMO".  After the first keynote, the tradeshow floor opened up with over 160 booths for everyone to explore new vendors and reconnect with existing vendors. The afternoon followed with lunch and smaller breakout sessions. There were 7 different breakout sessions for everyone to learn about new trends and insights in the industry. Members of JMC attended IREM's 2024 Holiday Celebration and Awards Night as well as the MAA President's and Achievements Awards dinner this week. Several employees and properties were nominated for awards at both events and we are proud to share our award recipients below! 11 members of JMC attended National Apartments Association Apartmentalize conference in Philadelphia this year! It was a busy week filled with a variety of educational sessions, exhibitors, and networking opportunities specific to the multifamily industry.  The 2024 Crew Included Members from  Faxon Commons , DUO , The Atherton , One Wall Street , Parkside Commons , The Mastlight , and the Braintree Office Apartments.com Hosted an Amazing Concert with Carrie Underwood! Pit Stop at The Liberty Bell! Morgan's Pier under the Benjamin Franklin Bridge One of Our Team Members Was Lucky Enough to Win This Dog Park Obstacle at the Expo! Several JMC employees had the opportunity to attend the 2023 MAA Expo at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston last week. JMC employees were able to network with others in the property management industry, engage with vendors, and become more knowledgeable on different topics through educational breakout sessions and presentations form keynote speakers.  JMC had a diverse group of attendees including Leasing Consultants, Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers, Portfolio Directors, Regional Managers, and members of the Marketing and Compliance departments.  The day began with educational breakout sessions on leasing strategies, social media, and risk management. Tan France was the keynote speaker in conversation with Ariel Foxman and France  spoke about his experiences in leading his own employees as a successful fashion designer and entrepreneur. 2022 marked the return of Maintenance Mania! This event is a national program for maintenance technicians to compete against each other in several skill-based challenges. The program is presented by the National Apartment Association and sponsored by HD Supply. The event was topped off with a self-designed race car contest followed by a reception and an award ceremony. JMC & Co had 11 competitors and several staff members came to spectate and cheer on our JMC  team. JMC  felt the "need for speed" coming into this heated competition which brought us to our Top Gun inspired theme this year! All employees wore JMC   Top Gun shirts and aviator sunglasses and all competitors rocked their own set of customized dog tags to prepare for the "Danger Zone". JMC & Co celebrated NAA's Residential Property Management Careers Week everyday last week. This weeklong celebration was created to promote greater awareness about all the different careers in the apartment industry. Our employees enjoyed the social media challenge as well as The JMC  Draw on Apartment Onsite Teams Day. The week started with a social media challenge! All photo submissions from the properties can be sent in for a chance to win an Amazon gift card for every member of the winning team! JMC & Co kicked off the celebrations with Maintenance Monday.
