DUO held a ribbon cutting ceremony last week to officially open the doors of the brand-new six-story building. The event was largely attended, and several city officials spoke in addition to JJC's CEO Joseph Corcoran, and Peter Mahoney, JMC 's Executive Vice President of Development.  This was a notable event as DUO is the first completed project in the Commonwealth's Public Housing Innovations Demonstration Program, and has been a pioneering redevelopment into a mixed-income community in Chelsea.  Above is a resident who lived in the public housing development, Innes Apartments, that existed prior to the redevelopment of the property. October 18th marked the day of the Innes Redevelopment groundbreaking in Chelsea, MA.  All of the partners in the project and several elected officials came together to commemorate this momentous occasion on site. This project has been in the works for six years and everyone was elated to celebrate the next phase of this redevelopment.  Master of Ceremonies  Rendering of Innes Redevelopment The afternoon kicked off with a master of ceremonies led by Jay Ash, President and CEO of Massachusetts Competitive Partnership.
