USGBC Recognizes MetroMark as LEED Gold Certified!
Developing and managing apartment communities that meet
today’s sustainable standards is something that we take great pride in here at
Corcoran Management Company. In 2007 Parkside Commons became the first
LEED-certified multifamily apartment community in New England to be recognized
for such an honor. Since then, Corcoran has developed three more LEED-certified
communities and have set initiatives at older established communities by
retrofitting and updating physical aspects to meet modern standards.
We are extremely honored and proud to announce that
MetroMark, a new high-end apartment community infused with charm and
personality in Jamaica Plain, has been named as Corcoran’s newest LEED
certified community!

The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) recognized
MetroMark as LEED Gold certified, an honor that highlights our efforts in
energy efficient design, water efficiency, reusable materials, neighborhood
impact and many more small factors that help leave a positive contribution to
the environment. Another large factor in helping MetroMark receive this honor
is the close proximity to public transit and outdoor biking/walking trails for
residents to get to work via methods other than their own automobile. The MBTA’sForest Hills Station is adjacent to the entrance of the community while the
Southwest Corridor Bike Path is located behind the property and can get
residents to downtown points throughout Boston.
