Fall Managers Meeting 2024

JMC held the Fall Managers Meeting this week at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Wakefield. President Bob Ruzzo started with opening remarks followed by a portfolio performance update as we near the end of 2024.

Bob Ruzzo, Executive Vice President

President of Development, Rick High, introduced the Project Directors who gave updates of ongoing projects. The managers got to hear more about Phase II of Union 346 in Somerville and another project in the pipeline in Beverly. Everyone also learned about the progress of The Devon at Weiss Farm in Stoneham and updates about DUO in Chelsea.

Senior Vice President, Nancy Gaudet, covered business development opportunities and spoke about a couple of new properties that will be coming under JMC's management before the end of the year. She also recapped training efforts that have proven to be very successful with the new training programs implemented over the year.

Vice President, Chris Butkovich, and Michelle Russo, Accounting Controller, gave updates on the relationship between Accounting and the property teams in addition to helpful communication tips. Chris also covered the 10 C's policy which focuses on curb appeal and routine upkeep of the properties.

Vice President, Brian Gallagher, spoke about Vendor Shield updates while Portfolio Directors Erik Lawrence and Justin Young discussed property audit statistics.

The DEI committee invited Sedruola Maruska to conduct a training on implicit bias which focused on what bias is, identifying bias, and mitigating bias.

Sedruola included volunteers to keep the session interactive and enjoyable.

The Compliance team put a twist on their presentation and opted for a round of Kahoot! The managers enjoyed participating in these quiz questions and were able to show off their strong compliance knowledge. 

Vice President, Jamie Beaulieu, then covered contract compilation and snow removal contracts.

The Marketing department closed out the day with a video presentation featuring "Best of" highlights to show appreciation for the managers and the field staff for their efforts throughout the year.

Cynthia Buckley, Director of Sales and Marketing, also announced our Meet the Mission winners. There was a total of 25 winners with 9 of them being managers. These awards recognize those who have gone above and beyond in their roles. We are proud to have so many recipients who are such dedicated members of the JMC team!
